Description

This citrus and herb marinated chicken is a real treat for the taste buds! I have been preparing this recipe for years and it is always a sensation. The secret lies in the marinade, a fragrant mixture of yellow and green lemon juice, shallots, garlic and herbs from Provence. The chicken, cut into pieces, soaks up all these flavors for several hours in the refrigerator. Then, it is cooked over a braised, drizzled with its marinade, for a tender and tasty result. Accompanied by rice, it is a perfect dish for a festive meal or a summer barbecue. A real treat!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Yellow lemon(s)
  • 1 piece Green lemon(s)
  • 1 piece White onion(s)
  • 2 piece Shallot(s)
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 c. à soupe Farm chicken
  • Herbs from provence
  • Chives
  • Parsley
  • Thyme
  • 6 verre(s) Long rice
  • Salt pepper from the mill

Preparation (5 steps)

Preparation of the citrus marinade

Squeeze the juice of 4 yellow lemons and 1 green lemon into a dish large enough to hold the chicken pieces. Set aside.

Chop the shallots, onion and garlic

Put 1 white onion in the bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5. Add 2 shallots and 2 cloves of garlic and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 7.

Mix the marinade

Pour the mixture of shallots, onion and garlic into the dish containing the lemon juice. Add 1 tbsp of herbs from Provence, chopped chives, chopped parsley and thyme. Mix everything together.

Marinate the chicken

Cut 1 whole chicken into pieces of appropriate size to fit in the dish. Spread the pieces in the sauce and turn them from time to time to coat them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1/2 day.

Cooking the rice

20 min/212°F/Speed 4 100

Pour 6 glasses of long rice into the cooking basket. Rinse the rice under cold water. Put 1 liter of water in the bowl, insert the cooking basket and cook 20 Min./100°C/Stufe 4.
