Description

This potato gratin is a real classic and super easy to prepare with the Thermomix®! The potatoes are sliced and covered with a creamy cheese sauce. I especially like to make this dish in autumn and winter when it's cold outside. It's a great dish for the whole family and can be prepared well in advance. The combination of potatoes, cheese and cream is simply unbeatable. Be sure to try it out, you will be thrilled! Perfect as a side dish or as a main course with a fresh salad.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 kilogramo potatoes
  • 200 gramos parmesan cheese
  • 200 gramos grated emmental cheese
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 cup cooking cream (milk cream)
  • 2 cucharadas soperas butter

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare dish

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Grease a casserole dish with some butter and set aside.

Prepare potatoes

Peel, wash and slice the potatoes into thin slices. Place a layer of potato slices in the prepared casserole dish.

Season and add cheese

Season the potato layer with salt and pepper. Pour a dash of cream over it. Mix Emmental and Parmesan and add a layer of cheese over the potatoes.

Repeat layers

Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all the potatoes are used up. The last layer should consist of cheese.

Add butter and bake

Distribute small flakes of butter on the cheese layer. Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake at 160°C top/bottom heat for about 60 minutes until the potatoes are cooked and the cheese is golden brown.

Serve

Let the gratin cool for a few minutes before serving.
