Description

This Hungarian goulash from the Thermomix® is a hearty main course with beef, paprika and onions. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 120 minutes, of which 30 minutes are active work. The recipe makes 6 servings and is ideal as a warming family meal, especially in the cold season. Refined with caraway and red wine, this soup offers an authentic taste. Preparation is facilitated by the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 2 Stück red Peppers
  • 700 g Beef cubes (e.g. from the shoulder)
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 5 dl Broth
  • 2 dl Red wine
  • 1 TL Caraway, ground
  • 1 TL Marjoram, dried
  • 0.5 TL Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 150 g Crème fraîche

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onions

Peel and halve onions. Place onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onions

Add oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare peppers

Quarter the peppers, core them and place them on the mixing bowl lid with the WunderSlicer V2 and the fine disc. Cut peppers into the mixing bowl. Alternatively, cut peppers into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Sear meat

Sear the meat in batches in a separate pan and set aside.

Add tomato paste and peppers

Add tomato paste and peppers (from step 3) to the mixing bowl and sauté for 2 min./120°C/speed 1.

Deglaze with liquid

Deglaze with broth and red wine. Add caraway, marjoram, salt and pepper.

Add meat and simmer

Add the seared meat (from step 4) to the mixing bowl and simmer for 60 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Stir in crème fraîche

Add crème fraîche and stir in for 5 sec./speed 3.

Season and serve

Season goulash with salt and pepper and serve.
