Description

This hearty fried sausage rice soup is a quick and easy dish for cold days. I like to make it when I need something quick and I still have fried sausage in the fridge. The combination of spicy fried sausage, fresh leek and rice makes this soup a true comfort food. It is perfect for the whole family and can be varied wonderfully. For example, you can add other vegetables such as carrots or celery. Just try it, it tastes delicious!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

2 piece Fried sausages fresh, coarse
1 Stange/n Leek
1 Zwiebel(n) Onion(s)
1 cube Broth
1 Handvoll Rice long grain rice
Water

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare vegetables

Clean or peel the leek and onion and cut into coarse pieces. Place both in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. If necessary, push down with the spatula.

Sauté vegetables

Sauté the chopped vegetables in the mixing bowl with a little oil for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Cook soup

Add broth cubes, rice and water to the mixing bowl as needed. Cook for 15 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add fried sausage

Thermomix® Setting

5 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Press the fried sausage out of the skin and form into small balls. Add these to the mixing bowl and simmer for another 5 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1 until the rice is cooked.
