Description

This caramelized apple cake is an autumnal delight that warms the heart. I often prepare it for afternoon tea or for a Sunday brunch. The Golden apples, melting and slightly tart, go wonderfully with the sweet and fragrant caramel. The dough, soft and light, is a real joy in the mouth. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal for beginner cooks. A real treat for the whole family, and a great way to enjoy seasonal apples. Feel free to add a pinch of cinnamon for an even more gourmet touch!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 2 pinch baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 5 piece eggs
  • 2 piece Golden apples
  • 250 g sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 250 g flour

Preparation of caramelized apples

Peel the Golden apples and cut them into strips. In a frying pan, melt 50 g of butter. Add the apple slices and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar. Caramelize the apples over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until they are golden brown and tender. Set aside.

Preparation of the dough

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g of flour, 250 g of sugar and 5 eggs in the Thermomix bowl. Mix everything for 20 Sek./Stufe 4 until a homogeneous dough is obtained.

Addition of baking powder

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 3

Add 2 small pinches of baking powder to the Thermomix bowl and mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 3 to incorporate well.

Incorporation of caramelized apples

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add the caramelized apples with their sauce to the Thermomix bowl. Mix gently for 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2 so as not to damage the apples.

Cooking the cake

Butter a cake dish on the bottom and on the sides. Pour all of the preparation into the dish. Put the dish in the preheated oven between 150°C and 200°C for 10 to 15 minutes. To check the cooking, insert a knife into the cake, it should come out clean.
