Description

These Cannoli with Mascarpone cream are an absolute delight! I always make them when I want to bake something special for friends and family. The crispy dough shell harmonizes perfectly with the creamy filling. The preparation is easier than you think, especially with the Thermomix®. The Mascarpone cream is wonderfully light and gets a fine note from the vanilla. Decorated with pistachios and chocolate sprinkles, they are a real eye-catcher. Perfect for birthdays or just for coffee!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 pack Rectangular puff pastry
  • Icing sugar
  • 200 ml Fresh liquid cream
  • 250 g Mascarpone
  • 2 tbsp Icing sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • Chopped pistachios
  • Chocolate chips

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare puff pastry

Remove rectangular puff pastry from the refrigerator and let it rest for a few minutes. Unroll puff pastry and use a pastry wheel to cut strips about 2 cm wide. Wrap the strips around the cannoli molds. Place the prepared cannoli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with icing sugar.

Bake cannoli

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the cannoli for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. After baking, let cool and carefully remove from the molds.

Whip cream

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Speed 3,5

Pour fresh liquid cream into the mixing bowl and whip with the butterfly whisk for 2 min./speed 3.5. Remove butterfly whisk and transfer cream.

Prepare mascarpone cream

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Put mascarpone, icing sugar and vanilla extract into the mixing bowl. Add the whipped cream and mix for 20 sec./speed 3, until a homogeneous cream is formed. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula and, if necessary, mix for another 10 sec./speed 3.

Fill and decorate cannoli

Fill the mascarpone cream into a piping bag. Fill the cooled cannoli with the cream. Decorate four cannoli with chopped pistachios and the remaining four with chocolate chips.
