Description

These crispy breaded chicken strips are a surefire hit at any gathering. The key is the spice marinade, which gives the chicken incredible flavor. I always use a mixture of garlic powder, spicy paprika, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper. If you have time, you can leave the chicken marinating in the fridge to absorb even more flavor. The coating with crispy breadcrumbs gives it an irresistible texture. Perfect for sharing with friends or enjoying with family! They are prepared in a short time and the result is delicious. Serve with your favorite sauce and some lemon slices.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • Garlic powder
  • Spicy or sweet paprika
  • Dried oregano
  • Ground cumin
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 2 piece Large eggs
  • Milk
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Lemon (optional)
  • Dried parsley (optional)

Preparation (7 steps)

Chicken preparation

Clean 500 g of chicken breast, removing nerves and fatty parts. Cut the breasts into small strips and place them in a bowl.

Spice mix

Add to the bowl with the chicken: garlic powder to taste, spicy or sweet paprika to taste, dried oregano to taste, ground cumin to taste, salt to taste and ground black pepper to taste. Mix well so that the spices are evenly distributed.

Beat the eggs

In a separate bowl, lightly beat 2 large eggs with a splash of milk. Pour the egg mixture over the spiced chicken strips and mix well to coat well.

Prepare the breading

In a shallow dish, place breadcrumbs and mix with dried parsley to taste (optional).

Coat the chicken

Pass each chicken strip through the breadcrumbs, making sure it is well covered on all sides.

Fry the chicken

Heat abundant oil in a wide skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the breaded chicken strips in batches, avoiding overcrowding, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken strips from the pan and place them on paper towels to remove excess oil.

Prepare the lemon sauce (optional)

Squeeze the juice of a lemon into a small bowl. Add dried parsley to taste (optional). Mix well.
