Description

This chicken in chipotle and tomato sauce is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a family meal or a dinner with friends. The combination of shredded chicken with cabbage and caramelized onion, all bathed in a spicy chipotle and tomato sauce, is simply delicious. I prepare it often because it is very easy to make and always triumphs. In addition, it can be accompanied with white rice or corn tortillas to enjoy it to the fullest. Go ahead and try it, you'll love it!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 piece shredded chicken breast
  • 0.25 piece sliced cabbage
  • 0.5 piece sliced onion
  • 3 piece roasted red tomatoes
  • 2 piece chipotles
  • 200 ml ketchup
  • salt
  • oil

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop the onion and cabbage

Thermomix® Setting

Place the onion in quarters in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 seconds at speed 5. Add the sliced cabbage to the bowl and chop for 3 seconds at speed 4.

Sauté the cabbage and onion

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Add a little oil to the Thermomix bowl. Program 8 minutes, Varoma temperature and speed 1 to sauté the cabbage and onion until they are transparent.

Add the chicken

Incorporate the shredded chicken breast into the Thermomix bowl. Mix well with the spatula.

Prepare the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
30 Seg./Speed 8

In the Thermomix bowl, add the roasted red tomatoes, chipotles and ketchup. Crush for 30 seconds at speed 8.

Cook the chicken in the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Pour the sauce over the chicken, cabbage and onion in the Thermomix bowl. Add salt to taste. Program 15 minutes, temperature 100°C, speed 2.
