Description

This roasted chicken with citrus aroma is a simple and delicious recipe, perfect for a family meal or a gathering with friends. The combination of chicken with butter, garlic, lemon and a touch of cognac creates a unique and very pleasant flavor. I prepare it often because it is very easy to make and always triumphs. The key is to marinate the chicken well so that it absorbs all the flavors. It can be accompanied with a fresh salad or some roasted potatoes. A complete and tasty dish that you will surely love!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 piece large chicken
  • 25 gr butter
  • 4 dientes garlic
  • 2 piece lemons
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch oregano
  • 1 copa cognac

Preparation (7 steps)

Chicken preparation

Wash the chicken well and dry it with kitchen paper. Open it in half and salt it to taste.

Marinade preparation

Place the butter in the Thermomix bowl and melt for 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Add the garlic

Add the garlic cloves to the bowl and crush for 3 Sek./Stufe 7. Lower the remains of the walls of the bowl with the spatula.

Sauté the garlic

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Sauté the garlic for 1 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the lemon juice and cognac

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add the juice of the lemons, salt, pepper, oregano and cognac to the bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Marinate the chicken

Pour the marinade over the chicken and make sure it is well impregnated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Roast the chicken

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the chicken on a baking tray and roast for approximately 40 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Sprinkle the chicken with the marinade during cooking.
