Description

This hearty tart with tuna and chicken is an absolute treat! I like to make it when I have guests, because it is super easy to prepare and tastes good both warm and cold. The dough is nice and crumbly and the filling of tuna, chicken, eggs and cheese is simply irresistible. A little fresh parsley provides the necessary freshness. Perfect for a brunch, a picnic or just as a filling lunch. Try it out, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 250 g Flour
  • 175 g Butter
  • 4 c. à soupe Oil
  • 2 piece Onion(s)
  • 1 piece Chicken breast(s)
  • 200 g Tuna
  • 4 piece Egg(s)
  • 200 g Grated cheese
  • Parsley
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6). This is a preparation step and does not require Thermomix settings.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g flour and 175 g soft butter in the mixing bowl. Add a pinch of salt and mix for 20 sec/speed 4. If necessary, add some water until a smooth dough is formed. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

Sauté onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Peel and quarter 2 onions and put them in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec/speed 5. Add 4 tbsp oil and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.

Add and cook chicken

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Cut 1 chicken breast fillet into cubes and add to the onions in the mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 10 min/100°C/speed 1.

Shred chicken and mix filling

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Linkslauf Speed 3 Reverse

Remove the cooked chicken from the mixing bowl and let it cool down a little. Then shred it with a fork. Put the shredded chicken back into the mixing bowl. Add 200 g tuna (drained), 4 eggs, chopped parsley and 150 g grated cheese. Mix for 20 sec/reverse rotation speed 3.

Fill and cover tart

Roll out the dough and place it in a tart tin. Spread the tuna-chicken filling on top. Roll out the remaining dough and place it on top of the tart as a lid. Seal the edges well.

Bake tart

Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Sprinkle with cheese

Remove the tart from the oven and sprinkle with the remaining 50 g of grated cheese. Let it cool briefly and serve.
