Description

This oven vegetables with kohlrabi and carrots is a vegetarian main course that is easy to prepare and rich in healthy nutrients. Preparation in the Thermomix® shortens the working time, while baking in the oven ensures a beautiful browning. Ideal for a hearty lunch or dinner, especially in autumn. The dish is cheap and filling.

  • 300 g Kohlrabi
  • 300 g Carrots
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 3 EL Olive oil
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 TL Mustard
  • 1 TL Honey
  • 1 Zweig Rosemary
  • 0.5 TL Salt
  • 0.25 TL Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare vegetables

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat. Peel the kohlrabi and carrots and cut into bite-sized pieces. Peel and halve the onion. Peel the garlic. Wash and shake the rosemary dry.

Chop onion and garlic

Put the halved onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. If necessary, use the spatula to push down from the edge.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add the olive oil (3 tbsp) to the onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add vegetables and mix

Add the kohlrabi pieces (300 g), carrot pieces (300 g), vegetable broth (100 ml), mustard (1 tsp), honey (1 tsp), rosemary, salt (1/2 tsp) and pepper (1/4 tsp) to the mixing bowl and mix for 5 sec./reverse/level 3.

Cook vegetables

Cook the vegetables in the mixing bowl for 20 min./100°C/reverse/level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Place vegetables in a casserole dish

Transfer the cooked vegetables from the mixing bowl to a casserole dish.

Bake

Place the casserole dish with the vegetables in the preheated oven and bake for approx. 30 minutes until the vegetables have the desired browning.
