Description

With the Thermomix® succeed juicy chocolate brownies with elegant fondant decoration. This cake recipe combines dark chocolate, brown sugar, eggs and flour to a chocolatey delight. The preparation time is 70 minutes, of which 40 minutes active working time, for about 4 servings. Ideal as a festive dessert, finger food or for special occasions in the winter season.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 200 g Margarine
  • 250 g Bittersweet or dark chocolate
  • 350 g Brown sugar
  • 2 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 5 Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 40 g Baking cocoa
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 1 Prise Iodized salt
  • 30 g Decor confetti
  • 60 g Mini salt pretzels
  • 2 x 200 g Decor fondant
  • Baking paper

Preparation (8 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection: 160 °C). Line a baking sheet with baking paper or place a baking frame on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Perform this step without Thermomix.

Melt margarine and chocolate

Put 200 g margarine and 250 g chocolate in pieces into the mixing bowl and melt for 4 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Whisk sugar and eggs

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Speed 3,5

Add 350 g brown sugar, 2 packets of vanilla sugar and 5 eggs to the mixing bowl and beat with the butterfly inserted for 3 Min./Stufe 3.5 until creamy.

Stir in chocolate-margarine mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add the melted margarine-chocolate mixture from the mixing bowl to the sugar-egg mixture and stir in for 20 Sek./Stufe 3.

Mix dry ingredients and stir in

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g flour, 40 g baking cocoa, 1 tsp baking powder and 1 pinch of iodized salt into the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 Sek./Stufe 4. If necessary, scrape down from the edge with the spatula and mix again for 10 Sek./Stufe 4.

Divide and sprinkle dough

Pour the batter into the prepared mold and smooth it out. Sprinkle or top half of the dough with 30 g decor confetti, the other half with 60 g mini salt pretzels. Perform this step without Thermomix.

Bake brownies

Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes. Let cool. Perform this step without Thermomix.

Cut and decorate brownies

Straighten the brownie cake at the edges and cut into 4 pieces. Roll out 2 x 200 g decor fondant thinly according to colors separately between a cut freezer bag. Cut into strips and make the ribbon and place on the brownies. Cut or craft ribbons from the fondant as well. To make the ribbons of the white loop form a pretty loop, it is best to place a wooden spoon or similar in between while the fondant hardens. Perform this step without Thermomix.
