Description

Devil's Meat from the Thermomix® is a hearty casserole with gyro meat, peppers, mushrooms and pickles. Preparation with the Thermomix® takes about 30 minutes of work, the total time is 120 minutes for 4 servings. This spicy main course is ideal for parties or for cooking in advance. The simple ingredients also make the recipe inexpensive. Perfect for anyone who loves hearty and uncomplicated cuisine.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 3 Stück Bell peppers (e.g. green, yellow and red)
  • 500 g Mushrooms
  • 2 Stück Large onions
  • 150 g Pickles
  • 1 kg Gyro meat
  • 850 ml Tomatoes (canned)
  • 250 ml Tomato-chili sauce
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare vegetables

Clean, wash and dice the bell peppers. Clean, wash and halve or quarter the mushrooms depending on their size. Peel, halve and slice the onions. Slice the pickles.

Fry meat

Fry the gyro meat in a separate pan and set aside.

Chop onions

Place the onions in the mixing bowl and chop.

Sauté onions

Add the onions and a little oil to the mixing bowl and sauté.

Mix all ingredients

Place the bell peppers, mushrooms, pickles, fried gyro meat, tomatoes (canned), tomato-chili sauce, salt and cayenne pepper in a large ovenproof pot and mix well.

Simmer in the oven

Cover the pot and simmer in a preheated oven at 200 degrees (convection 175 degrees) for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove the lid about 20 minutes before the end of the cooking time and finish cooking uncovered.

Season to taste

Season to taste before serving and add more seasoning if necessary.
