Description

These chocolate chip shortbread cookies are a real delight! I often prepare them for the children's snack or to accompany a coffee. The recipe is super simple and quick, perfect for last-minute gourmet cravings. With the Thermomix®, the dough is ready in the blink of an eye. I particularly like their crispy texture on the outside and soft on the inside. You can vary the pleasures by adding crushed hazelnuts or orange zest. These cookies are perfect for a small sweet treat at any time of the day. A real treat for the whole family!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 150 g flour
  • 100 g chocolate chips
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 c. à c. yeast
  • 0.5 c. à c. salt or fine salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Mixing the wet ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

In the Thermomix® bowl, add 50 g of soft butter, 1 egg, 50 g of sugar and 1 sachet of vanilla sugar. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Adding the dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 5

Gradually add 150 g of flour, ½ tsp of salt or fine salt and 1 tsp of yeast to the Thermomix® bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 5.

Incorporating the chocolate chips

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Add 100 g of chocolate chips to the Thermomix® bowl. Mix gently for 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2 so as not to break the chips.

Forming the balls and preparing for baking

Preheat the traditional oven to 180°C. On a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, form small balls of dough and flatten them very slightly by hand.

Baking in the oven

Bake the baking sheet in the preheated oven at 180°C for 10 to 12 minutes, monitoring the cooking. The time may vary depending on the desired texture.

Cooling

Let the shortbread cookies cool on a wire rack before enjoying.
