Description

Vanilla crescents from the Thermomix® are a classic Christmas pastry made with flour, butter, almonds, and sugar. The recipe yields approximately 60 pieces and requires a total time of 105 minutes, of which 45 minutes are active working time. Ideal as festive finger food or dessert. Suitable for those who enjoy baking and love Christmas delicacies.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 280 g Flour
  • 210 g cold Butter
  • 100 g peeled, ground Almonds
  • 70 g fine Crystal sugar
  • 10 EL Powdered sugar
  • 3 Päckchen Vanilla sugar

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare flour

Sift 280 g of flour onto the baking board.

Incorporate butter

Add 210 g of cold butter in pieces and crumble with your fingers until a crumbly mass forms.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 100 g of ground almonds, 70 g of fine crystal sugar, 10 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 3 packets of vanilla sugar and quickly knead everything into a dough. Use the Patix dough knife for this.

Chill dough

Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Shape crescents

Form the dough into a roll and cut slices from it. First roll into balls, then into sausages. Bend the sausages into crescents (small horns).

Bake crescents

Place the crescents on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C for about 15 minutes.

Prepare sugar

In the meantime, mix powdered sugar and vanilla sugar and sift onto a large serving plate.

Sugar crescents

Place the still warm crescents in the sugar bed, cover completely and let them cool in it.
