Description

These crispy shrimp toasts are a delicious and quick appetizer to prepare, perfect for a summer dinner or an aperitif with friends. The combination of fresh shrimp, shallot and sesame creates an exotic and irresistible flavor. I often prepare them when I have unexpected guests, because they are ready in a few minutes and always make a great impression! They can be accompanied with a sweet and sour sauce or simply with a fresh salad. An original idea to enjoy shrimp in a different way than usual.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 120 g peeled shrimp
  • 4 fette sandwich bread
  • 1 uova eggs
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 scalogno shallot
  • 2 cucchiaini cornstarch
  • sesame seeds
  • fine salt
  • parsley
  • oil for frying

Preparation of the shrimp mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 7

Insert into the bowl the 120 g of peeled shrimp, 1 shallot in pieces, parsley to taste, 2 teaspoons of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and 1 egg. Close the bowl and blend for 20 Sec./Stufe 7 until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Spread the mixture on the bread

Spread the mixture obtained evenly on the 4 slices of sandwich bread.

Add the sesame seeds

Distribute the sesame seeds to taste on the surface of the mixture, pressing lightly to make them adhere.

Cut the bread

Cut the slices of bread in half diagonally, forming triangles.

Fry the toasts

In a pan, heat plenty of oil for frying. Fry the shrimp toasts over medium heat, first with the stuffed side facing down, until golden brown. Turn the toasts and fry the other side for a few minutes.

Drain and serve

Drain the toasts on absorbent paper and dab to remove excess oil. Serve the hot shrimp toasts.
