Description

This fish casserole with tomatoes and feta is a Mediterranean main course that is easy to prepare. Fresh ingredients like fish fillets, tomatoes, onions, garlic, and feta create a hearty and flavorful dish. The preparation time is about 35 minutes and the recipe is designed for 4 servings. Ideal for a quick lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 kg white fish fillet e.g. pollock or redfish
  • 3 Stück red onions
  • 3 Stück garlic cloves
  • 1 Dose small can of tomatoes
  • 200 g Feta
  • 1 Stück juice of one lemon
  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 2 EL oregano
  • 4 EL fresh parsley chopped
  • salt
  • pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare the fish

Wash the fish fillets, pat dry with paper towels and drizzle with the juice of one lemon. Then season with salt and pepper.

Prepare baking dish

Pour about 125 ml of olive oil into a baking dish and turn the fish fillets in it on both sides.

Chop onions and garlic

Put 3 red onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 3 cloves of garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Sauté onions and garlic

Sauté the chopped onions and garlic in a pan with a little olive oil. Dice 1 small can of tomatoes and add. Season with 2 tbsp oregano and some salt.

Spread tomato sauce

Spread the tomato sauce on the fish in the baking dish and drizzle with some olive oil.

Bake fish casserole

Place the baking dish in the oven for 8 minutes at 200 °C convection.

Add feta and gratinate

Crumble 200 g feta and sprinkle over the fish casserole with tomato sauce. Place the casserole in the oven at 230 °C for a further 5 minutes to gratinate.
