Description
This Danube Waves cake is a classic recipe that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The cake consists of a light and dark dough, sour cherries and a creamy vanilla pudding layer, covered with chocolate icing. Ideal for coffee parties or as a sweet surprise for the family. The preparation time is about 75 minutes.

1 EL Cocoa

2 Gläser Sour cherries

0.5 l Milk

2 EL Sugar

1 Päckchen Vanilla pudding

1 Töpfchen Chocolate icing
Preparation (10 steps)
Prepare dough
Add 200 g butter, 200 g sugar and 5 eggs to the mixing bowl and mix for 3 min./speed 4.
Mix flour and baking powder
Add 300 g flour and 1 packet baking powder to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min./speed 3.
Divide dough and add cocoa
Put half of the dough in a separate bowl. Add 1 tbsp cocoa to the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3.
Place dough in layers on baking sheet
Alternately place light and dark dough on a greased baking sheet and mix lightly.
Prepare sour cherries and spread on dough
Drain 2 jars of sour cherries and spread on the dough.
Bake cake
Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes.
Prepare vanilla pudding
Add 1 packet vanilla pudding and 1/2 l milk to the mixing bowl and cook for 7 min./100°C/speed 2.
Refine pudding
Add 2 tbsp sugar and 1/2 butter to the mixing bowl and mix for 1 min./speed 3.
Spread pudding on cake
Spread the vanilla pudding on the baked cake.
Spread chocolate icing
Spread 1 pot chocolate icing on the cake.
