Description

This creamy jerk chicken pasta is a flavorful and satisfying meal that's perfect for a weeknight dinner.   • 2 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 piece (6 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1.5 tbsp jerk seasoning, divided
  • 2 cup penne pasta
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.75 cup whipping cream, or more as needed
  • 1 tsp garlic base
  • 1.5 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese

Prepare vegetables

Add ½ cup chopped red bell pepper, ½ cup chopped green bell pepper, and ½ cup chopped onion to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5.

Sauté vegetables

Add 2 tablespoons butter to the mixing bowl with the chopped vegetables and sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Prepare and season chicken

Slice each of the 2 (6 ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts horizontally to create two thin fillets. Cut each fillet into diagonal strips. In a pan, sear the chicken strips with 1 ½ teaspoons jerk seasoning for about 5 minutes until cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.

Add pasta and liquids

Add 2 cups penne pasta, 1 cup water, ¾ cup whipping cream, and 1 teaspoon garlic base to the mixing bowl.

Cook pasta

Add chicken, seasoning and cheese

Add the cooked chicken, remaining jerk seasoning, and 1 ½ cups finely shredded Parmesan cheese to the mixing bowl. Stir for 1 Min./60°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1.

If desired, add more cream (up to 1/4 cup) and stir for 30 Sec./60°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1 to reach desired consistency.
