Description

These savory bread boats from the Thermomix® are a quick and hearty finger food with fresh bread rolls, salami, ham, and Gouda. Complemented by bell peppers and mushrooms, they are ready in just 20 minutes. The recipe makes 8 servings and is ideal as a snack for parties or as an appetizer. An inexpensive and uncomplicated dish for any occasion.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 4 Stück fresh wheat bread rolls from the baker
  • 100 g Salami
  • 100 g cooked ham
  • 100 g young Gouda, grated
  • 0.5 Stück bell pepper red
  • 0.5 Stück bell pepper yellow
  • 115 g sliced mushrooms (drained weight)
  • 125 ml cream (min. 32% fat)
  • nach Geschmack salt
  • nach Geschmack pepper
  • nach Geschmack oregano or pizza seasoning
  • 8 Scheiben cucumber, approx. 12 cm
  • 8 Stück wooden skewers/brochette sticks

Preparation (12 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C circulating air. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Prepare bread rolls

Halve the 4 fresh wheat bread rolls from the baker and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Chop salami and ham

Thermomix® Setting

Put 100 g salami and 100 g cooked ham into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Then transfer to a separate bowl.

Chop bell pepper

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 4

Put 1/2 red and 1/2 yellow bell pepper into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4. Then add to the salami and ham in the bowl.

Prepare mushrooms

Drain 1 small can of sliced mushrooms (115g drained weight) and cut them into smaller pieces if necessary. Alternatively, clean and chop fresh mushrooms. Add to the other ingredients in the bowl.

Prepare cheese

Add 100 g young Gouda, grated, to the remaining ingredients in the bowl.

Whip cream until stiff

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Speed 3,5

Put 125 ml cream (min. 32% fat) into the mixing bowl with the butterfly whisk and whip until stiff for 2 min./speed 3.5. Then add to the other ingredients in the bowl.

Mix and season filling

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl well. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano or pizza seasoning to taste.

Top bread rolls

Spread the prepared filling evenly on the bread roll halves.

Bake bread rolls

Bake the topped bread rolls in the preheated oven at 180°C circulating air for approx. 10 minutes.

Prepare cucumber sails

While the bread rolls are baking, prepare the cucumber sails: Use a peeler to cut 8 slices of cucumber, approx. 12 cm long, as thick as possible.

Decorate pizza boats

Remove the pizza boats from the oven and decorate with the prepared cucumber sails and wooden skewers/brochette sticks. Thread the cucumber slices onto the wooden sticks and insert them into the bread rolls.
