Description

This pasta with borlotti beans, tuna and fresh spring onion is a simple dish but rich in flavor, perfect for a quick lunch or an informal dinner. The borlotti beans create a substantial base, while the tuna adds a touch of flavor and protein. The fresh spring onion, with its slightly spicy note, gives freshness and vivacity to the dish. A pinch of hot red pepper and a grated lime complete the dish, making this pasta irresistible. I often prepare it when I have little time but want something tasty and nutritious!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 320 g Mezze penne
  • 400 g Borlotti beans
  • 2 piece Spring onions
  • 160 g Tuna in olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Hot red pepper
  • 1 piece Lime

Preparation (9 steps)

Preparation of water for the pasta

Fill a pot with plenty of water and bring to a boil. Salt the water once it reaches boiling point.

Cooking the pasta

Pour the mezze penne into the boiling salted water and cook according to the package instructions.

Flavoring the oil

Pour 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil into the bowl. Add 1 clove of whole peeled garlic. Set 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the spring onion

Meanwhile, cut 2 fresh spring onions into thin slices and set aside.

Removal of the garlic and addition of the ingredients

Remove the clove of garlic from the bowl. Add 400g of borlotti beans well drained from the preservation water and 160g of drained tuna in olive oil. Mix gently with the spatula.

Flavor the seasoning

3 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add a pinch of hot red pepper into the bowl. Set 3 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Mix the pasta

2 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

One minute before the end of cooking time for the pasta, drain it and transfer it directly into the bowl with the tuna, beans and chili pepper. Add a ladle of cooking water. Set 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Addition of the spring onion

1 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the sliced spring onion into the bowl. Set 1 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Plate and serve

Plate and serve with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of pepper and, if desired, grated lime zest.
