Description

These spiced homemade doughnuts are a delight for any occasion. The combination of nutmeg and cinnamon gives them a warm and comforting touch, perfect to enjoy on a cold afternoon with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 2 packet yeast
  • 80 ml warm water
  • 360 ml milk
  • 75 gramos butter
  • 55 gramos sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 piece beaten eggs
  • 630 gramos flour
  • 0.5 cup melted butter
  • 200 gramos sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

Preparation (12 steps)

Dissolve the yeast

In a small container, dissolve 2 sachets of yeast in 80 ml of warm water. Set aside.

Melt the butter with the milk

3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

In the Thermomix bowl, add 360 ml of milk and 75 g of butter. Program 3 Min./50°C/Stufe 2 to melt the butter.

Mix liquid ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add the yeast and water mixture, the melted milk and butter mixture, 55 g of sugar, 2 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of nutmeg to the bowl. Mix 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Add eggs and flour

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 2 beaten eggs and 300 g of flour to the bowl. Mix 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Add the rest of the flour and knead

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Kneading speed

Add the remaining 330 g of flour to the bowl. Knead 3 Min./Knetstufe.

Dough rest

Remove the dough from the bowl, form a ball and place it in a large container. Cover with a clean cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C.

Form the doughnuts

Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out the doughnuts with a doughnut cutter or with a glass and a stopper. Place the doughnuts on a previously greased baking tray, leaving space between them.

Second rest

Let the doughnuts rest on the tray for 20 minutes.

Bake the doughnuts

Bake the doughnuts for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the topping

While the doughnuts are baking, mix 200 g of sugar with 1 tsp of cinnamon powder in a container.

Cover the doughnuts

Once baked, spread each doughnut with ½ cup of melted butter and then pass them through the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
