Description

This hearty kettle stew with smoked pork loin is a real soul food for cold winter days! I always make it when I need something hearty and warming. The smoked pork loin is cooked until tender and processed together with fresh vegetables and aromatic spices into a delicious stew. The red and white beans as well as the corn provide a great variety. Perfect for the whole family and can be prepared great. An absolute must in the cold season!

Ingredients (17 ingredients)

  • 1000 g Smoked pork loin, smoked and boneless
  • 750 ml Water
  • 750 ml Water
  • 5 piece Carrots
  • 2 Stange Leek
  • 1 Knolle Celeriac
  • 1 can Tomatoes, peeled
  • 1 can Beans, white
  • 1 kl. Dose Beans, red
  • 1 kl. Dose Corn
  • 3 piece Bell peppers, red
  • 1 piece Bell pepper, green
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 125 g Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Meat broth, instant

Preparation (7 steps)

Pre-cook smoked pork loin

Thermomix® Setting
60 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Put 1 kg smoked pork loin without bones into the mixing bowl. Add 750 ml water and cook for 60 min./100°C/level 1.

Prepare and add vegetables

Thermomix® Setting
30 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

In the meantime, clean 5 carrots, 2 leeks and 1 celeriac and cut into small pieces. After 60 minutes of cooking time, add the prepared vegetables to the mixing bowl and cook for another 30 min./100°C/level 1.

Remove meat and keep warm

After a total of 90 minutes of cooking time, remove the meat from the mixing bowl and keep warm. Leave the cooking water in the mixing bowl.

Add beans, corn and peppers

Pour 1 can of white beans, 1 small can of red beans and 1 small can of corn into a sieve, rinse and add to the mixing bowl. Clean 3 red bell peppers and 1 green bell pepper, dice and add to the mixing bowl as well. Drain 1 can of peeled tomatoes, cut into pieces and add.

Cut and add smoked pork loin

Cut the warm smoked pork loin into bite-sized pieces and add to the mixing bowl.

Prepare and add rolled oats

Put 750 ml water in a separate pot and dissolve 2 tbsp instant meat broth in it. Add the meat broth to the mixing bowl.

Season and finish the stew

10 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 2 tbsp tomato paste, 125 g garlic, salt and pepper to taste to the mixing bowl. Simmer everything for 10 min./100°C/level 1, stirring carefully with the spatula.
