Description

This stuffed baguette is a delicious and colorful appetizer, perfect for a summer brunch or an aperitif with friends. The tuna mousse, enriched with peppers, olives and radishes, is creamy and flavorful. The preparation is quick and easy, ideal when you have little time. The trick for a perfect cut? A short stay in the freezer! I often prepare it when I have unexpected guests, it is always a great success. Try it, it's really delicious!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Baguette
  • 160 g Tuna in oil
  • 50 g Butter
  • 0.5 piece Red peppers
  • 10 piece Black olives
  • 4 piece Radishes

Preparation (9 steps)

Drained tuna

Drain the tuna thoroughly from the preserving oil and set aside.

Tuna cream

Put the drained tuna and the softened butter in the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4 until you get a homogeneous cream. Transfer the cream to a bowl.

Chopped vegetables

Thermomix® Setting

Put the red pepper cut into small cubes and the black olives coarsely chopped in the bowl. Chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5. Transfer the chopped vegetables to the bowl with the tuna cream.

Radishes julienned

Add the radishes cut into julienne (or into small pieces) to the bowl with the tuna cream and vegetables. Mix well to distribute the colors.

Preparation of the baguette

Cut the two ends (the "head" and the "tail") of the baguettes. With a long knife or the handle of a spoon, gently dig out the inside to remove the crumb, being careful to leave the outer crust intact.

Crumble the crumb and put it in the bowl. Chop for 2 Sec./Stufe 4. Add the chopped crumb to the bowl with the filling and mix one last time.

Filling the baguette

Fill the bread with the filling, using the spoon to push the filling well to the bottom, without leaving air gaps.

Freezing

Once filled, seal the ends with foil. Wrap the entire baguette tightly in plastic wrap. Put in the freezer for about 30 minutes.

Cutting and serving

After the time has elapsed, remove the wrapping and cut into slices about 1 cm thick. Wait 5 minutes before serving so that they return to room temperature (but don't wait too long if it's hot!).
