Description

These hearty baguettes with juicy chicken breast are a real treat! I like to make them when I need something quick or for a relaxed picnic in the countryside. The combination of tender chicken breast, fresh vegetables and a creamy sauce is simply unbeatable. The recipe is super easy and can be varied wonderfully - depending on what the fridge has to offer. The baguettes also taste particularly delicious with a little rocket or fresh herbs. Try it out, you will be thrilled!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 piece Tomato, large
  • 0.5 piece Cucumber
  • 0.5 bunch Parsley
  • 4 tbsp Salad cream
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 4 piece Chicken breast fillets
  • 4 tsp Seasoned salt for chicken
  • 4 piece Baguette rolls
  • 1 Pck. Lettuce (ready to eat)
  • 2 tbsp Fried onions

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop garlic

Place 2 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Scrape down with the spatula.

Prepare cream

Add 4 tbsp salad cream, 2 tbsp milk, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder, salt, pepper, 1 pinch of sugar and the chopped garlic to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Chop parsley

Place 0.5 bunch of parsley in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 6. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare chicken breast

Season 4 chicken breast fillets with 4 tsp seasoned salt for chicken. Sear in a pan over high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. Then cook in a preheated oven at 140 °C top/bottom heat for a further 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven, let rest briefly and cut into 1-2 cm thick strips.

Top baguettes

Cut open 4 baguette rolls and spread both halves with the prepared cream. Top the bottom with 1 pack of lettuce (ready to eat), sliced 1 large tomato and 0.5 cucumber. Place chicken breast on top, sprinkle with 2 tbsp fried onions and the chopped parsley and place the top half on top.
