Description

These mellow gingerbread bites are a simple and comforting treat, perfect to accompany a coffee or a tea. I often prepare them during the end-of-year celebrations, because their spicy scent perfumes the whole house. The recipe is very easy to make with the Thermomix®, which makes it ideal for beginner cooks. The secret lies in the combination of the sweetness of the jam and the unique taste of gingerbread. Do not hesitate to vary the jams to personalize these little sweets. They are perfect for a gourmet snack or an improvised dessert.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 1 verre Caster sugar
  • 1 can Powdered milk
  • 1 verre Sunflower
  • 1 container Jam
  • 1 piece Gingerbread
  • 1 peu Cornstarch

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6).

Mix the eggs and sugar

In the Thermomix bowl, add 4 eggs and 1 glass of caster sugar. Mix vigorously for 2 Min./Stufe 4 until the mixture turns white.

Add the dry ingredients and the oil

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 glass of sunflower oil, 1 can of powdered milk and a little cornstarch (sifted). Mix well for 30 Sek./Stufe 3 until a homogeneous dough is obtained.

Form the balls

Remove the dough from the Thermomix bowl. Form small balls with the dough by rolling them between the palms of your hands.

Arrange on the plate

Arrange the balls on a greased baking sheet.

Bake

Bake the balls for 15 Min. at 180°C.

Prepare the jam and gingerbread

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 8

Pour the jam into a shallow dish. Cut about half of the gingerbread into pieces and put them in the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 8 to obtain a fine powder. Put this powder in another shallow dish.

Coat the balls

Take the cake balls out of the oven. Let them cool slightly. Roll your balls in the jam to coat them completely, then in the gingerbread powder. The balls must be completely covered.

Cool and harden

Place your gingerbread cake balls in a large dish and let them cool and harden at room temperature.
