Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 3 cups white sugar, divided
  • 6 piece eggs, lightly beaten
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pound loaf bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 0.5 cup golden raisins
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cup corn syrup
  • 0.5 cup whiskey

Preparation (9 steps)

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Combine sugar and eggs

Add 1 1/2 cups of white sugar and 6 lightly beaten eggs to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Add milk, cream, vanilla, and cinnamon

Add 4 cups of milk, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, and 1/2 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 15 Sec./Stufe 3.

Prepare bread and raisins

Arrange 1 pound of bread cubes in a medium baking dish and top with 1/2 cup of golden raisins. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Pour mixture over bread

Pour the milk mixture from the Thermomix over the bread cubes and set aside until the bread becomes saturated with the mixture. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Bake the bread pudding

Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 45 minutes. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup

Add the remaining 1 1/2 cups of white sugar, 3/4 cup of unsalted butter, and 3/4 cup of corn syrup to the Thermomix bowl. Heat for 5 Min./70°C/Stufe 2 until thoroughly combined.

Remove the Thermomix bowl from the base. Add 1/2 cup of whiskey to the mixture and whisk until combined. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Serve the whiskey sauce warm over the bread pudding. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
