Description

These white sausage pretzel skewers with a fruity-spicy fig mustard dip are a real eye-catcher at any party! The combination of savory sausage, salty pretzel pastry and sweet tomatoes is simply irresistible. The homemade fig mustard gives the whole thing a special touch. I like to make these skewers again and again because they are so easy to prepare and are always well received by my guests. Perfect as finger food for the next brunch or as a hearty side dish for grilling. Preparation takes only about 35 minutes.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 6 piece White sausages
  • 6 piece Pretzel sticks
  • 24 piece Cherry tomatoes
  • 8 piece Figs
  • 6 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Medium hot mustard
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare white sausages

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place 6 white sausages in the mixing bowl and cover with water. Cook for 15 min./100°C/speed 1. Then remove the sausages, let them cool briefly, peel off the skin and cut into approx. 1 cm thick slices.

Cut pretzel sticks

Also cut 6 pretzel sticks into approx. 1 cm thick slices.

Assemble skewers

Wash 24 cherry tomatoes and pat dry. Alternately thread white sausage and pretzel pieces as well as tomatoes onto skewers.

Heat skewers

Cook the skewers in a preheated oven at 180 °C circulating air for about 10 minutes.

Prepare figs

Peel and quarter 8 figs. Set aside one quarter.

Prepare fig mustard dip

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 8

Place the remaining fig quarters in the mixing bowl and puree for 10 sec./speed 8.

Refine dip

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 6 tbsp honey and 2 tsp medium hot mustard and stir for 10 sec./speed 3.

Season dip

Season the dip with salt and pepper and garnish with the reserved fig quarters. Serve with the skewers.
