Description

These sweet spoon fritters are a classic of Italian cuisine, perfect for Carnival or a delicious snack. The recipe is simple and quick, ideal for those who have little time but do not want to give up a homemade dessert. The dough, enriched with melted butter and a pinch of nutmeg, is fried in hot oil until golden brown and then sprinkled with powdered sugar. I often prepare them for my children, who adore them! They can be enjoyed hot or warm, accompanied by a good coffee or a glass of milk. A true delight!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 0.25 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 piece beaten egg yolks
  • 1 piece beaten whole egg
  • 4 cup flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp nutmeg
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.75 cup butter or soured milk
  • powdered sugar

Preparation (5 steps)

Butter and sugar in the bowl

Put the melted butter and sugar in the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3 until you get a creamy mixture.

Eggs in the bowl

Add the beaten eggs and the beaten whole egg to the mixture. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3.

Dry ingredients in the bowl

In a separate bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, nutmeg and baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture in the bowl, alternating with the soured milk. Mix for 30 Sec./Stufe 4.

Frying the fritters

Heat plenty of oil in a pan until it reaches a temperature of 190°C. Pour spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil, frying a few at a time to keep the temperature constant. Brown on both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side.

Drain and serve

Drain the fritters on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
