Description

This paella is a Mediterranean rice dish with chicken, chorizo, seafood, and vegetables. Preparation in the Thermomix® simplifies the process, while the meat is seared separately to intensify the flavor. Ideal for parties or a festive dinner, this paella offers a hearty and aromatic taste experience. The preparation time is about 60 minutes and is enough for 4 servings.

  • 200 g Chicken meat (chicken breast fillet)
  • 100 g Chorizo
  • 1 Zwiebel Onion
  • 1 Rote Bell pepper
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 2 EL Olive oil
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 250 g Paella rice (or risotto rice)
  • 0.5 TL Saffron threads
  • 1 TL Paprika powder
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 500 ml Fish stock
  • 200 g Shrimp (ready to cook)
  • 200 g Mussels (precooked)
  • 100 g Peas (frozen)
  • 1 Zitrone Lemon

Prepare vegetables

Peel and quarter the onion. Wash, core, and roughly chop the bell pepper. Peel the garlic.

Add rice, saffron threads, paprika powder, salt, and pepper.

Sauté everything for 2 min/120°C/speed 1.

Deglaze with broth

Deglaze with fish stock and simmer for 20 min/100°C/reverse blade speed 1. Leave the measuring cup in place.

Add shrimp, mussels, and peas and simmer for another 5 min/100°C/reverse blade speed 1. Leave the measuring cup in place.

Sear meat

Sear the chicken and chorizo in a separate pan.

Add meat

Add the seared chicken and chorizo to the paella in the mixing bowl and gently fold in.

Serve

Serve the paella with lemon wedges.
