Description

This Thermomix® recipe for cheese dumplings is a hearty main course with white bread, mountain cheese and fresh parsley. The vegetarian dumplings are ideal for lovers of warm, savory cuisine. With the Thermomix®, 12 servings can be prepared in about 50 minutes. Perfect as a filling family meal or for a big appetite.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 250 g White bread or bread rolls (from the previous day)
  • 250 ml Milk (3.5% fat)
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 0.5 Bund Parsley (smooth)
  • 175 g Mountain cheese (strong)
  • Butter
  • 3 Stück Eggs (size M)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Prise Nutmeg
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare bread

Cut 250 g white bread or bread rolls from the previous day into small cubes and place in a bowl. Heat 250 ml milk (e.g. in a pot or in the microwave) and pour over the bread.

Chop onions and parsley

Halve 1 onion and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 1/2 bunch of parsley and chop for 3 sec./speed 8. Transfer.

Sauté onions

Put the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and sauté with a little butter for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Add the parsley and stir briefly.

Chop cheese

Put 175 g mountain cheese in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Add to the onions and parsley.

Mix dumpling mixture

Add onions, parsley, 3 eggs, cheese, salt, pepper and 2-3 pinches of nutmeg to the soaked bread and mix everything well. If the dumpling mixture is too moist, stir in 1-2 tbsp breadcrumbs. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.

Shape and fry dumplings

With moistened hands, form 12 flat dumplings. Heat plenty of butter in a pan and fry the dumplings over medium heat until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
