Description

These Thermomix® cherry cookies are a delicious finger food dessert, ideal for the Christmas season or festive occasions. The main ingredients are butter, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and cherry brandy. Preparation takes a total of 120 minutes, with active working time being about 60 minutes. The recipe yields approximately 30 cookies and is perfect as a sweet treat for family and friends.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 250 g Flour
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 Stück Large egg
  • 2 EL Cream or cherry brandy
  • 250 g Flour
  • Flour for working
  • 200 g Sour cherry jam
  • Possibly some cherry brandy or cherry liqueur
  • Icing sugar for dusting

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Put butter or margarine, flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg into the mixing bowl. Use the Patix dough knife to process into a dough for 2 min./kneading stage.

Cool dough

Wrap the dough in foil and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Cut out cookies

Roll out the dough thinly on a lightly floured work surface. Cut out circles that are slightly larger than the smallest star cutter. Cut out stars from half of the cookies.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 175°C top/bottom heat (convection: 160°C).

Bake cookies

Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for approx. 15 minutes until golden brown.

Prepare jam

Thermomix® Setting

Strain the cherry jam through a sieve and put it into the mixing bowl. Heat for 3 min./100°C/level 1. If necessary, flavor with cherry brandy or cherry liqueur.

Assemble cookies

Spread the jam on the whole cookies, place the cut-out cookies on top and dust with icing sugar.
