Description

This Thermomix® recipe for chicken breast in tikka masala sauce is a hearty main course with chicken breast fillet, yogurt and garam masala. Preparation takes about 60 minutes, 30 minutes of which is active work, and yields 4 servings. This gluten-free curry is ideal for lovers of Asian cuisine and is suitable as a family meal or for anyone who prefers a spicy dish.

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 2 EL Plain yogurt
  • 2 EL Lemon juice
  • 1 TL Garam Masala
  • 1 TL Turmeric
  • 1 TL Chili
  • 1 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 2 Zehen Garlic
  • 1 EL Ginger
  • 2 EL Ghee
  • 1 TL Garam Masala
  • 2 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 TL Cumin
  • 400 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 150 ml Whipping cream
  • Coriander

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare and marinate chicken

Cut 500 g chicken breast fillet into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix with 2 tbsp plain yogurt, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili, 1 tsp sweet paprika powder and 1 tsp salt. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Chop onions

Halve 2 onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec/speed 5.

Chop garlic and ginger

Add 2 cloves of garlic and 1 tbsp ginger to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec/speed 7. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sauté masala base

Add 2 tbsp ghee or sunflower oil and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.

Add and roast spices

Add 1 tsp garam masala, 2 tsp sweet paprika powder and 1 tsp cumin and roast for 1 min/120°C/speed 1 without the measuring cup.

Add tomatoes and cream

Add 400 g chopped tomatoes (canned) and 150 ml whipping cream and simmer for 10 min/100°C/speed 1 in reverse.

Add chicken and finish cooking

Add the chicken browned in the pan (see original recipe) to the sauce and simmer for 5 min/100°C/speed 1 in reverse until cooked through.

Serve chicken tikka masala with fresh coriander.
