Description

This chicken simmered with sun vegetables is a tasty and comforting dish, perfect for a dinner with family or friends. I love preparing this recipe, because it is simple to make and full of flavors. The chicken, tender and juicy, is enhanced by the spices and fresh vegetables. The tomatoes bring a touch of acidity that perfectly balances the dish. This dish is ideal for using seasonal vegetables and can be accompanied by fresh tagliatelle or basmati rice. Do not hesitate to add a pinch of chilli to enhance the taste and warm the hearts. Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 c. à c. Ginger (powdered)
  • 1 cuillère Turmeric
  • Salt or fine salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 4 piece Tomatoes
  • 1 échalote Shallot
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 poivron vert Green pepper
  • 1 poulet Chicken

Preparation of the vegetables

Peel the shallot and garlic cloves. Cut the shallot in half and the garlic cloves in half. Put the shallot and garlic in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 7.

Addition of the pepper

Clean the green pepper, cut it into strips and add it to the Thermomix bowl. Cut the tomatoes into dice and reserve.

Cooking of vegetables and spices

Add the olive oil, powdered ginger (1 tsp), turmeric (1 spoon), salt, pepper and cinnamon (1 pinch) in the Thermomix bowl. Cook 5 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the chicken

Cut the chicken into pieces leaving only the carcass. In a pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and brown the chicken pieces on all sides. Reserve the chicken.

Simmering the chicken

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Put the browned chicken back in the Thermomix bowl with the vegetables and spices. Add the diced tomatoes and the juice rendered by the chicken. Salt and pepper. Mix gently with the spatula. Add water until chicken is covered. Cook 20 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Reduction of the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Remove the measuring cup and let the sauce reduce for 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.
