Description

This chicken stew with vegetables is a comforting and flavorful recipe, perfect for those days when you need a homemade and nutritious meal. The combination of tender chicken with celery, pepper, carrot and potato creates a balanced and delicious dish. I always prepare it when I want something easy that everyone at home likes. It is also ideal to take advantage of vegetables that you have in the fridge. A complete dish that will warm your soul! You can add a little paprika to give it a smoky touch. Enjoy!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Chicken thighs
  • 1 rama Celery
  • 0.5 piece Italian green pepper
  • 1 piece Peeled and chopped potato
  • 2 piece Peeled and chopped carrot
  • 75 ml White wine
  • 1 piece Pear tomato
  • 200 ml Chicken broth
  • 1 piece Bay leaf
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Wheat flour
  • 2 clove Garlic

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the chicken

Salt and pepper the chicken thighs and pass them through wheat flour, removing the excess. Reserve.

Chopping vegetables

Chop the celery stalk and the Italian green pepper into medium pieces. Peel and chop the carrots and potato. Reserve.

Sauté the vegetables

Add the celery, green pepper, carrot and garlic cloves to the Thermomix bowl. Chop for 5 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté with tomato

Thermomix® Setting

Add a little extra virgin olive oil to the bowl. Program 8 minutes, temperature 120°C, speed 1. Grate the pear tomato and add it to the bowl. Program 5 minutes, temperature 120°C, speed 1.

Add the white wine

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Pour the white wine into the bowl and program 3 minutes, Varoma temperature, speed 1, without a beaker to allow the alcohol to evaporate.

Cooking the stew

25 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed Löffel 100 Reverse

Add the chicken thighs, bay leaf and chicken broth to the bowl. Program 25 minutes, temperature 100°C, spoon speed, left turn.

Add the potatoes

15 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed Löffel 100 Reverse

Incorporate the chopped potatoes to the bowl. Program 15 minutes, temperature 100°C, spoon speed, left turn.
