Description

This chicken casserole is a family favorite! Tender chicken breasts are smothered in a creamy sauce, topped with melted Swiss cheese and crispy breadcrumbs. It's a simple yet satisfying dish that's perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a casual gathering. I love how easy it is to prepare, and the combination of flavors is just irresistible. Feel free to add some vegetables like broccoli or mushrooms for extra nutrients. This recipe is also great for using up leftover bread.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 8 piece skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • 10.5 ounce can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 0.33333333333333 cup water
  • 8 slice Swiss cheese
  • 2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup butter, cut into pieces

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Prepare Baking Dish

Place 8 skinless, boneless chicken breasts into a 9x13-inch baking dish. No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.

Prepare Cream Sauce

Place 1 (10.5 ounce) can of condensed cream of chicken soup and ⅓ cup of water into the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3.

Assemble Casserole

Spread the cream sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Top each breast with a slice of Swiss cheese, then sprinkle 2 cups of Italian seasoned bread crumbs over the top. Dot ½ cup of butter, cut into pieces, over the bread crumbs.

Bake Chicken

Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 45 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). No Thermomix settings are needed for this step.
