Description

This chocolate cake with creamy curd filling is a real eye-catcher on any coffee table! I particularly like to bake it at Christmas time or for a birthday, because it simply looks festive and tastes incredibly delicious. The combination of the juicy chocolate dough and the slightly sour curd filling is simply unbeatable. The preparation is a little more complex, but the result is worth it. If you like it even more chocolatey, you can also add chocolate chips to the dough. An absolute must for all chocolate lovers!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 500 g Low-fat curd cheese
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 250 g soft Butter
  • 350 g Sugar
  • 2 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 6 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 350 g Wheat flour Type 405
  • 2 tsp Baking powder
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 4 tbsp Cocoa powder
  • 20 g Cornstarch

Preparation (8 steps)

Melt chocolate

Break 150 g dark chocolate into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 2.

Prepare chocolate dough

Remove the melted chocolate from the mixing bowl and set aside. Put 250 g soft Butter, 250 g Sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and stir for 3 min./speed 3 until creamy.

Add eggs

Add 4 Eggs one after the other through the lid opening and stir in for 20 sec./speed 3 each time.

Mix dry ingredients

Put 350 g wheat flour, 2 tsp baking powder and 4 tbsp cocoa powder into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 4.

Finish dough

Add 75 ml Milk and the melted chocolate and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3. Transfer the dough and clean the mixing bowl.

Prepare curd filling

Put 500 g low-fat curd cheese (drained), 2 Eggs, 100 g Sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 20 g cornstarch into the mixing bowl and mix for 45 sec./speed 4.

Layer cake

Grease a springform pan with a tube base (26 cm Ø) and dust with flour. Pour about half of the dark dough into the pan. Spread the dough up a little on the edge, pour the cheese mixture into the recess. Mix the remaining dough with 50 ml Milk and carefully spread over the cheese mixture.

Baking

Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 1 hour (stick test!).
