Description

This clafoutis is a savory delight, perfect for a cozy lunch or a festive buffet. I especially like to make it in the fall when the nuts are freshly harvested. The salty ham pairs wonderfully with the spicy Roquefort and the crunchy nuts. The preparation is very simple and succeeds with the Thermomix® in no time. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received by my guests! The combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors makes this clafoutis special. It's a great dish to spoil friends and family with.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 6 slice Ham
  • 225 g Roquefort
  • 150 g Walnut kernels
  • 75 g Bacon cubes
  • 75 g Grated Gruyère
  • 60 cl Milk
  • 50 cl Liquid cream
  • 9 piece Egg(s)
  • 25 g Butter
  • 9 c. à café Cornstarch
  • 3 brin Thyme
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare nuts

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 5

Put the 150g of walnut kernels in the mixing bowl and coarsely chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Transfer and set aside.

Mix eggs and cornstarch

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Put the 9 eggs and 9 teaspoons of cornstarch in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 4.

Add liquids

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 60cl milk and 50cl cream to the eggs in the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C (Thermostat 6).

Prepare dish

Grease a large gratin dish with 25g butter. Cut 6 slices of ham into strips and distribute them in the dish together with the chopped walnuts, 75g of bacon cubes and 225g of Roquefort in pieces.

Bake clafoutis

Pour the dough from the mixing bowl over the ingredients in the gratin dish. Sprinkle with 75g grated Gruyère and 3 sprigs of fresh thyme. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

Serve

Remove the clafoutis from the oven and serve immediately.
