Description

This classic sponge cake is a simple and delicious cake, perfect for an afternoon snack or an impromptu dessert. I often prepare it when I crave a comforting sweetness. Its light texture and vanilla taste make it a favorite at home. The recipe is very easy to make with the Thermomix®, which makes it even faster and more convenient. You can decorate it with icing sugar for an elegant and gourmet effect. A real pleasure to share with family or friends!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 200 g Flour
  • 200 g Icing sugar
  • 3 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 9 c. à s. Oil
  • 9 c. à s. Milk
  • 3 piece Whole eggs
  • 1 packet Yeast

Preparation of the eggs and sugar

Insert the whisk into the Thermomix bowl. Add the 3 whole eggs, icing sugar and vanilla sugar sachets. Mix for 5 Min./Stufe 4, without heating, until you obtain a foamy and light mixture.

Incorporation of liquids

30 sec/keine/Speed 3

Remove the whisk. Add the milk and oil to the bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 3, without heating, to incorporate the liquids well.

Addition of dry ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/keine/Speed 3

Add the flour and baking powder to the bowl. Mix for 1 Min./Stufe 3, without heating, until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough. Use the spatula to scrape the edges if necessary.

Preparation and cooking

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Butter and flour a cake or round tin. Pour the dough into the prepared tin. Bake in the preheated oven and cook for 45 Min./180°C. Check the cooking with a toothpick.

Decoration

Let the cake cool before removing it from the tin. Decorate with icing sugar and stencils according to your desires. Serve and enjoy!
