Description

This seafood cocktail with avocado and apple is an explosion of fresh and summery flavor. I have been preparing this recipe for years and it is always a success at my gatherings. The combination of seafood with the creaminess of avocado and the crunchy and acidic touch of apple is simply delicious. It is perfect as a light starter or for an informal dinner. Also, it is prepared in the blink of an eye, ideal for when you have little time! You can use fresh or cooked prawns, according to your preference. Go ahead and try it, you will love it!

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 12 piece prawns
  • 1 hoja bay leaf
  • 1 piece Surimi
  • 1 cucharada white wine
  • 1 piece apple
  • 1 piece avocado
  • 1 piece Lemon juice
  • 1 piece Salad
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 piece Mayonnaise
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 orange
  • 1 cucharada ketchup
  • 1 cucharadita mustard

Preparation (7 steps)

Cooking the prawns (if fresh)

If you use fresh prawns, place 500 ml of water in the Thermomix bowl. Add 1 bay leaf, 1 tablespoon of white wine and salt. Program 8 Min./Varoma/Speed 1. Then, add 12 prawns and program 3 Min./Varoma/Speed 1. Once cooked, cool them quickly in a bowl with ice.

Add the prawns

Add 12 prawns to the Thermomix bowl. Program 3 Min./Varoma/Speed 1.

Chop the surimi

Place the surimi in the Thermomix bowl and program 3 Sec./Speed 4 to chop it. Remove and reserve.

Prepare the apple and avocado

Peel 1 apple and 1 avocado. Cut them into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Add lemon juice to prevent them from oxidizing. Mix gently.

Chop the salad

Wash and chop the salad. You can use a mixture of varied leaves. Place the chopped salad in a bowl.

Prepare the pink sauce

In the Thermomix bowl, place the mayonnaise, the juice of 1 orange, 1 tablespoon of ketchup and 1 teaspoon of mustard. Mix for 10 Sec./Speed 3.

Assemble the cocktail

In individual glasses, distribute the salad leaves, apple, avocado, surimi and prawns. Pour the pink sauce over. If you wish, reserve some prawns to decorate.
