Description

This Thermomix® recipe for brussels sprouts in almond butter is a hearty and vegetarian main course or side dish with brussels sprouts, almonds and butter.   • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • Salt
  • 50 g California almonds sliced
  • 100 g Sweet cream butter
  • Pepper
  • 1 Prise(n) Nutmeg

Prepare brussels sprouts

Clean and wash the Brussels sprouts and cut a cross into the stalk base. This ensures that the Brussels sprouts cook evenly.

Cook brussels sprouts

Put 500 g Brussels sprouts and 500 ml water into the mixing bowl and cook for 7 min./100°C/speed 1. Use steamer basket.

Drain brussels sprouts

Pour the Brussels sprouts through the steamer basket and let them drain. The cooking water is no longer needed.

Roast almonds

Roast 50 g of sliced almonds in a pan without fat until golden yellow and remove. Alternatively, the almonds can also be roasted in the oven.

Melt butter

Put 100 g sweet cream butter in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min./50°C/speed 1.

Sauté brussels sprouts

Add the drained Brussels sprouts to the melted butter in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./100°C/reverse rotation speed 1.

Season and serve

Season the Brussels sprouts with salt, pepper and a pinch of nutmeg. Then sprinkle the roasted almond flakes over it and serve.
