Description

This Thermomix® recipe for cinnamon roll confection combines butter, cream cheese, sugar and flour for a festive cookie treat. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes a total of 222 minutes, with active working time being about 30 minutes. The recipe makes one serving and is ideal as a Christmas finger food, for breakfast or as a sweet dessert. Perfect for anyone who likes to bake during the Christmas season and is looking for a special confection.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 60 g Butter, soft
  • 50 g Cream cheese
  • 140 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 180 g Flour
  • 1 Msp. Baking powder
  • 2 EL Butter, liquid
  • 2 TL, gehäuft Cinnamon powder

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare butter and cream cheese

Add 60 g soft butter and 50 g cream cheese to the mixing bowl.

Mix butter, cream cheese, sugar and egg yolk

Add 140 g sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar and 1 egg yolk and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Mix flour and baking powder and stir in

30 sec/Speed 4

Add 180 g flour and 1 pinch baking powder and stir in for 30 sec/speed 4. Use the spatula to scrape down from the edge and stir in for another 10 sec/speed 4.

Roll out the dough

Roll out the dough into a rectangle (approx. 20 x 30 cm) on a floured work surface or between two layers of cling film.

Brush and sprinkle dough

Peel off the top cling film. Brush the dough with 2 tbsp liquid butter. Mix the remaining sugar (60g) with 2 heaped tsp cinnamon powder in a small bowl and sprinkle generously over the dough. Set aside about 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar on a large plate.

Roll up and chill the dough

Using the film, roll up the dough rectangle from the narrow side, roll the dough roll all around in the remaining cinnamon sugar, wrap tightly in the film and chill for 180 min. (3 hours).

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat, line a baking tray with baking paper.

Cut and bake cookies

Unwrap the dough roll, cut into approx. 1/2 cm thick slices and place these on the tray. Bake the cookies on the middle shelf for 12 minutes until light.

Let cool

Remove the cinnamon rolls and let them cool on a wire rack.
