Description

These hearty cheese sausage crescents are an absolute hit at every party! I've been making them for years and they're always a hit. The puff pastry is filled with grated cheese and juicy sausages, rolled up and baked until golden brown. Served with a creamy dip of cream cheese, mayonnaise, honey and curry - simply delicious! The preparation is very easy and the crescents are ready in no time. Perfect as a snack between meals or as a delicious side dish for grilling.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 300 g Puff pastry (chilled section)
  • 100 g Cheddar (grated)
  • 6 piece Vienna sausages
  • 1 piece Egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp Milk
  • 3 tbsp Black sesame
  • 50 g Mayonnaise
  • 150 g Double cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Liquid honey
  • 1 tbsp Curry powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare puff pastry

Unroll the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal rectangles with a knife. Spread the rectangles on a work surface.

Prepare cheese

Sprinkle the grated Cheddar on the puff pastry rectangles, leaving a small border free all around.

Roll in sausages

Place one Vienna sausage on each puff pastry rectangle and roll up the dough. Cut each dough roll into 3 pieces.

Brush sausage rolls

Add egg yolk and milk to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 3.

Brush and garnish sausage rolls

Brush the sausage rolls with the egg yolk-milk mixture and sprinkle with black sesame.

Prepare dip

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add mayonnaise, double cream cheese, honey and curry powder to the mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix for 20 sec/speed 3.

Season dip

Season the dip with salt and pepper and chill until serving.

Bake in the oven

Place the sausage rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
