Description

A main course with a sweet and sour taste that will win everyone over! The citrus chicken thighs are an explosion of flavor, thanks to the marinade with honey, juice and grapefruit zest, rosemary and a pinch of chili pepper. The meat is tender and juicy, with a golden and fragrant crust. Perfect for a family dinner or with friends, they are prepared quickly and easily, leaving the meat to marinate for a few hours. An original idea to bring a revisited classic to the table with a touch of freshness and originality. Ideal to serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a mixed salad.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken thigh
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 piece Grapefruit zest
  • 1 piece Grapefruit juice
  • 1 bunch Rosemary
  • 3 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch Hot red chili pepper

Preparation of the marinade

In the Thermomix bowl, insert 1 sprig of fresh rosemary and chop for 5 Sec./speed 7. Gather on the bottom with the spatula.

Adding the liquid ingredients

Add 2 tablespoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 1 pinch of hot red chili pepper, the grated zest of 1 grapefruit and the juice of 1 grapefruit to the bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./speed 3.

Marinating the chicken

Arrange 4 chicken thighs in a shallow baking dish or in a food bag. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken thighs, making sure they are well covered. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3-4 hours, turning the thighs occasionally to ensure even marinating.

Baking in the oven

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Transfer the marinated chicken thighs to an oven-safe baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, brushing frequently with the marinade during cooking, until the skin becomes crispy and golden brown.
