Description

This creamy sauce is a real all-rounder and goes perfectly with all kinds of meat dishes. I often make it when I need to be quick, because it is ready in just a few minutes. The base is cream, milk and broth, refined with a hint of tomato paste. The flour makes the sauce nice and creamy. If you like, you can refine it with fresh herbs or spices of your choice. An absolute must for every hobby cook!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 50 ml Whipping cream
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 200 ml Meat broth
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 75 ml Ice cold

Preparation (5 steps)

Melt butter

Thermomix® Setting

Add 1 tbsp butter to the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min./50°C/speed 1.

Add ingredients

Add 1 tbsp tomato paste, 50 ml whipping cream, 50 ml milk and 200 ml meat broth to the mixing bowl.

Add flour mixture

In a separate bowl, stir 2 tbsp flour and 75 ml cold water until smooth. Add the flour mixture to the mixing bowl.

Bring sauce to boil and simmer

Bring the sauce to the boil for 5 min./100°C/speed 2 and then simmer for 3 min./90°C/speed 2 until it reaches the desired consistency.

Season the sauce with salt and pepper and add more spices if required. Then stir for 1 min./speed 2.
