Diese knusprigen Hähnchenstreifen mit Tomaten-Spaghetti sind ein echter Hit für die ganze Familie! Ich mache das Gericht oft, wenn es schnell gehen muss, aber trotzdem lecker sein soll. Die Hähnchenstreifen sind außen schön knusprig und innen zart, und die Tomatensauce ist fruchtig und aromatisch. Besonders gut schmeckt es, wenn man frische Basilikumblätter darüber gibt. Das Rezept ist super einfach und gelingt garantiert jedem. Ideal für einen entspannten Abend oder als schnelles Mittagessen. Wer mag, kann noch etwas geriebenen Käse über die Spaghetti geben.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 piece large eggs
  • 3 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • 1 piece lemon zest
  • 150 g fresh white breadcrumbs
  • 4 piece small chicken breasts
  • 350 g spaghetti
  • 3 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp tomato purée
  • 1 handful basil leaves

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare the tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Pour the chopped tomatoes and 1/2 can of water into the mixing bowl. Add the tomato purée and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 15 min/100°C/Stufe 1.

Prepare breadcrumbs

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 6

Add the breadcrumbs to the mixing bowl and process for 10 Sec./Stufe 6. Set aside.

Prepare parmesan and lemon zest

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 8

Add the parmesan and lemon zest to the mixing bowl and process for 5 Sec./Stufe 8. Add to the breadcrumbs and mix well.

Prepare the chicken

Place each chicken breast between two sheets of cling film on a chopping board. Bash them gently with a rolling pin until they are about 2cm thick. Cut each flattened chicken breast into five or six strips.

Prepare egg and flour

Put the eggs in a shallow dish. Lightly season the flour and tip it into another shallow dish.

Cook the spaghetti

Cook the spaghetti in a pan of boiling salted water for 10-12 mins or following pack instructions.

Coat the chicken strips

Coat the chicken strips in the flour and shake off any excess. Dip them in the beaten egg, letting any excess drip off, then finally coat them well in the breadcrumbs and put on a plate.

Fry the chicken strips

Heat the oil in a large frying pan until hot. Add the chicken strips to the pan in batches and fry for 2-3 mins each side until cooked through – you may need to wipe out the pan in between batches. Lift out and drain on kitchen paper.

Mix spaghetti and sauce

Drain the spaghetti, then mix with the tomato sauce.
