Description

These crispy rosemary chicken nuggets are a tasty and easy alternative to the usual chicken breast. The breading flavored with rosemary and parsley gives a unique and irresistible flavor. Perfect for a quick lunch or casual dinner, children love them too. I often prepare them when I have little time but still want to bring something tasty and different to the table. They can be served hot or cold, accompanied by a fresh salad or French fries. An extra idea? Try them with a yogurt sauce!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • Chicken breast
  • Eggs
  • Rosemary
  • Parsley
  • Seed oil for frying
  • to taste Salt
  • Black pepper
  • to taste Cornstarch
  • Lemon
  • Breadcrumbs

Preparation (8 steps)

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 cm thick and set aside.

Marinade preparation

Thermomix® Setting
20 Sec./Speed 4

In the Mixtopf, insert the egg whites and cornstarch. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Chicken marinating

Add the chicken strips to the Mixtopf with the egg white and cornstarch mixture. Mix gently with the spatula to blend well. Transfer everything to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Chicken flavoring

After the resting time, remove the chicken from the refrigerator, add a pinch of salt and a grind of pepper. Mix well with the spatula to flavor.

Breading preparation

Thermomix® Setting
10 Sec./Speed 7

In the Mixtopf, insert the breadcrumbs, rosemary needles and parsley. Chop for 10 Sec./Stufe 7. Transfer the breading to a container.

Chicken frying

Bring the seed oil for frying to about 200°C in a pan. Dip the chicken sticks in the prepared breading and, a few at a time, dip them in the boiling oil. Fry until golden brown.

Chicken draining

Once the chicken sticks are golden brown, drain them on a sieve to remove excess oil.

Service

Serve the crispy rosemary chicken sticks with a light sprinkling of salt and lemon slices.
