Description

These oven baked chicken thighs with peppers are a classic of Italian cuisine, revisited to be easily prepared with the Thermomix®. The meat remains tender and juicy, while the crunchy breading and peppers add a touch of color and flavor. Perfect for a family dinner or a Sunday lunch, these chicken thighs are a dish that everyone agrees on. I prepare them often, varying the peppers depending on the season, and they are always a success! A suggestion? Serve them with baked potatoes for a complete and tasty meal.

  • Chicken thighs
  • Peppers
  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Grated Parmigiano Reggiano
  • to taste Garlic powder
  • to taste Oregano
  • Salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil (EVO)

Preparation (6 steps)

Initial preparation of the chicken thighs

Check that the chicken thighs are free of feathers. Pour the flour into a dish and flour the chicken thighs. It is not necessary to use the Thermomix for this step.

Preparation of the breading

In another dish, pour the breadcrumbs and season with salt, garlic powder, oregano and a spoonful of grated cheese. Mix everything well. This step also does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Preparation of the eggs

Crack the eggs into a large bowl, season with salt and mix well with a fork. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Breading the chicken thighs

Pass the chicken thighs, previously floured, first in the egg, then in the breadcrumb mix. Make sure they are well covered. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Preparation of the peppers

Wash the peppers, remove the seeds and filaments, then cut them into strips. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.

Baking in the oven

When the chicken thighs are now perfectly breaded, move them to a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, the dripping pan is fine. Add the peppers to the pan with the chicken thighs, season with salt, grease with a drizzle of oil, then bake the pan with the chicken thighs and cook in a static oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes or until golden brown. This step does not require the use of the Thermomix.
