Description

These wholemeal shortcrust pastry hearts with jam are perfect for a healthy and delicious breakfast or a tasty snack. The wholemeal shortcrust pastry, prepared without butter, makes them light and easy to digest, while the heart of jam adds an irresistible touch of sweetness. I often prepare them for my children, and they disappear in the blink of an eye! The recipe is very simple and quick to make with the Thermomix®. You can vary the type of jam according to your tastes, I love strawberry and apricot. Try them, I'm sure they will win you over!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 2 piece eggs
  • 60 ml seed oil
  • 80 g sugar
  • 300 g wholemeal flour
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 70 g strawberry jam
  • 70 g apricot jam
  • icing sugar for decoration

Preparation of the dough

In the Thermomix bowl, insert the eggs, seed oil, sugar and grated lemon zest. Also add the baking powder. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4.

Addition of the flour

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add the wholemeal flour a little at a time into the Thermomix bowl. Knead for 2 Min./Knetstufe.

Form the dough

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface and form a smooth and homogeneous loaf. Work briefly by hand if necessary.

Form the balls

Take about 40 g of dough at a time and form balls by massaging them between the palms of your hands.

Crush the balls

Arrange the balls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, keeping them spaced apart. Crush them with a glass to form discs.

Create the heart shape

With your index finger, apply light pressure to create two small, close and symmetrical grooves, forming a heart shape.

Add the jam

Pour the strawberry jam and apricot jam into the heart-shaped grooves, being careful not to get it on the rest of the biscuit.

Baking in the oven

Bake in a preheated fan oven at 170°C for about 15 minutes.

Decorate and serve

Once cold, sprinkle some icing sugar on the biscuits and serve.
