Description

This spicy Chili con Carne from the Thermomix® is a protein-rich main course with ground beef, kidney beans, corn and bell peppers. Onions and garlic provide the hearty base. Prepared in just 30 minutes, the recipe yields 4 servings. Ideal for parties, as a warming family meal or for those who like it spicy.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 3 Zehen Garlic
  • 1 Stück red bell pepper
  • 2 Dose Kidney beans (250 g drained weight each)
  • 1 Dose Corn (280 g drained weight)
  • 1 EL Rapeseed oil
  • 800 g Ground beef
  • 2 EL Tomato paste
  • 500 ml Beef broth
  • 800 g Chopped tomatoes
  • 1 TL Cumin
  • 2 EL Sweet paprika powder
  • 1 TL Chili
  • 1 TL Cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop onions and garlic

Place 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Transfer. Place 3 cloves of garlic in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 7. Transfer.

Dice bell pepper

Place 1 red bell pepper in the mixing bowl and chop for 4 sec./speed 4. Transfer.

Brown ground beef

Brown 800 g ground beef in a pan with 1 tbsp rapeseed oil. Set aside.

Sauté onions, garlic and tomato paste

Place chopped onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1. Add 2 tbsp tomato paste and sauté for 1 min./120°C/speed 1.

Cook Chili con Carne

20 min/212°F/Gentle stir speed 212°F Reverse

Add 500 ml beef broth, 800 g chopped tomatoes, diced bell pepper, 2 cans (250 g drained weight each) drained kidney beans, 1 can (280 g drained weight) drained corn, 1 tsp cumin, 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tsp chili, 1 tsp cinnamon, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl. Add browned ground beef. Cook for 20 min./100°C/Reverse/speed Stir.
